Five Ways to Celebrate Galentine’s Day

We are big fans of celebrating female friendships and throw a Galentine’s Day party every year. It’s quickly become one of our favorite traditions – you can read about last year’s celebration here!

We’re both traveling a lot over the next few months, so we’re not totally sure when Galentine’s Day 2016 will take place, but here are some ideas for you to host your own celebration!

1. Treat Yourself: Round up the girls and go get manicures. If you’re in Cincinnati, definitely make sure you check out Spruce! Spruce uses their own all natural, eco-friendly, toxic-free lotion, scrub and cuticle oil during each service and only uses polish brands that are deemed “5free,” meaning they do not use 5 chemicals commonly found in nail polish (like formaldehyde – yikes!).

Even better, Spruce is offering 10% off a combination “Staple” manicure/pedicure for our readers! Just click here to book online and use promo code “BE MINE“. This promo will be effective February 9 – 14!

2. Get Crafty: Host a crafting party with Gild Collective (you can read about our experience with Gild here) and get those creative juices flowing. The ladies at Gild are adding new projects to their arsenal all the time – they’re all super cute and, most importantly, easy! We’ve been eyeing the Sunburst Mirror or Jewelry Display Set.

Another crafty option is to head to a painting studio. Our personal favorite is Cheers to Art in OTR. All of the instructors there are so friendly and can guide even the most inexperienced painter to create a work of art – all while you sip wine and dance along to the music. Check out their February calendar here and register ASAP since classes tend to fill up quickly!

3. Sip & Shop: If there are two things that are nearly universally loved by women, it’s cocktails and beautiful jewelry. Combine the two by asking everyone to make a different drink for the group to try (Olivia at Baubles to Bubbles has some great recipes here), and host a Stella & Dot party!

Liz of 26 and Counting is a stylist for Stella & Dot and just shared the new spring lines with us – trust us, you’re going to want to see these pieces. Click here to get in touch with her and request to host a party!

4. Go Old School: Put your PJs on, take your makeup off and have a girls-only sleepover. Break out all your old classics – movies you loved when you were younger, DIY beauty treatments, talking about boys, and eating junk food. 5. Get Zen: Go to a yoga class together and then grab drinks afterwards. The Yoga Bars in OTR has plenty of wonderful evening classes (get the schedule here) and is just around the corner from great bars like 1215 Wine Bar & Coffee Lab, Kaze or Bakersfield. Or, you could grab some fresh-pressed juice at Off The Vine instead.

Be sure to let us know if you host a Galentine’s Day party this year! We’d love to hear about it 🙂
