A couple of weekends ago, the ladies of Thread Cincinnati were invited to attend a shopping event at the Cincinnati Premium Outlets. Though we weren’t able to make it with the rest of the group, we heard it was so much fun!
After the event at the outlet, Simon Premium Outlets were kind enough to give Thread Cincinnati followers all $50 gift cards to giveaway! So, all you have to do is use the rafflecopter here to enter to win one of the SEVEN gift cards we have up for grabs. With seven prizes, the more ways you enter the higher your chances of winning! They can be used at any Simon Outlet location, but if you’re in Cincinnati you will definitely want to head to Monroe to score some of the amazing pieces the Thread ladies did. Please follow the rules for your entries to count! Winners will be announced on Saturday on our Facebook page, so be sure to follow along there. Good luck!
Hey there, friends! Sorry for the radio silence over here. Alice and I have both been traveling a lot more than usual in the last few months – since February, we have been to San Francisco, Chicago, New Zealand, Australia and London (not together, unfortunately) and we are finally home!
I spent two weeks in San Francisco for work back in February, and I had a blast. I hadn’t been back to San Francisco in about ten years, so the city and I had a lot of catching up to do 🙂 I think the best part of the trip was being able to see friends I haven’t seen in a long time – it seems like SF is the place to be for friends from all phases of my life! I was able to visit people I’ve known since childhood, college and post-grad life. It was great to reconnect and get to know them in their “new” lives on the West Coast.
Well, enough about me – let’s get to the good stuff! Here’s a recap of all my very favorite things I got to eat during my time in SF.
We are big fans of celebrating female friendships and throw a Galentine’s Day party every year. It’s quickly become one of our favorite traditions – you can read about last year’s celebration here!
We’re both traveling a lot over the next few months, so we’re not totally sure when Galentine’s Day 2016 will take place, but here are some ideas for you to host your own celebration! Continue Reading
Mita’s is Chef Jose Salazar’s latest addition to the Cincinnati food scene. We checked it out on a lunch double date and it did not disappoint!
Mita’s is located downtown in the new 84.51 building. Unlike Salazar, his cozy restaurant in OTR, Mita’s is extremely spacious with sky-high ceilings and eclectic decor. Between the reclaimed wood floors, colorful tiles and sparkling light fixtures, it almost feels like you’re eating in an Anthropologie – if you know us, you know this is the highest compliment.
Now, let’s talk food.
My guilty pleasure? Skincare…and vampire-themed romance novels. But, skincare is what we’re focusing on today. All the lotions and potions make me weak to knees and I could spend hours at Sephora or skincare counters at department stores testing creams and deciphering ingredients. Winter is always a challenge on my dry skin, but I think I’ve mastered a solid routine for the harsh weather and want to share my most recent finds and favorites with you!
Since we both have family in Columbus, we spend a good amount of time there. The food scene in Columbus has been growing over the past several years, and there are tons of delicious places popping up all over the city. Here are just a few we visited on our most recent trip!
That’s right, friends – Alice bought her wedding dress this weekend! I don’t think you realize how difficult it was for me to limit the end of that sentence to just one exclamation point. It was a lovely afternoon filled with champagne, gorgeous dresses and lots of excited variations of the phrase, “Alice, you look SO BEAUTIFUL!” As matron of honor, I naturally felt it was my duty to document the day and I’m excited to share it with you! About a month ago the ladies of Thread Cincinnati hosted a shop night at Kendra Scott in Liberty Center. The new space is absolutely beautiful, and we are still swooning over the bright inviting colors and subtle gold details. See for yourselves. Continue Reading
Have you ever dreamed of being on the cover of Vanity Fair? Well, we have and this is probably as close as we’ll ever get. You’re probably thinking, “damn, those girls look good”. I couldn’t agree with you more. But, it took a whole crew of people to create this glamourous scene with the Thread Cincinnati ladies. We collaborated with Queen City Vignette, a vintage inspired event rental business founded by Emma Durnham and Amber Zaragoza. They specialize in furniture, accessories, and design for any event you’re thinking about hosting. The floor to ceiling brick walls and large windows turned their warehouse into the perfect studio space for our photo shoot. Big thanks to Caroline Eyers and Graham Haehnle for capturing our vision.
